I love this theme and would like to use it, but I can’t get the slider to work!
I have turned the sldier on “Display” in in the SWT menu, I selected the Posts Category I made for it (sliders) and selected to use 1 slide, as I only have one post in the “sliders” cathegory. I also added a customer field for the image as discribed in the image.
Any pointers to what I am doing wrong? thanx!
It appears that you dont have selected sliding category, since there’s no content in the slider. You have to readme, you dont have to put custom fields to have images in the slider, you just need to set featured image. All is explained in the readme. Check again sliding categroy and number of slides. If still doesnt work, make me acc on your site, send me login info via contact form.
I do not understand this information for adding the sliding gallery.
Here is where the confusion exists for me.
Under post, thats under selected sliding gallery category, enter new custom field ‘thumbnail’ (without ” quotes), and then on the right side in the ‘Value’ leave the link to the image. Check this image to make sure you’re doing good!
Can you help me understand this, I cannot find the custom field area etc. Screen shot would be appreciated.

Yes, you need now to check custom fields to appear in screen options at top right corner. They are disabled by default since wp 3.0.
That still did not work, and now for some reason the slider has vanished, and I cannot get it to show posts again. Need help! Really want to use this theme…

I do not understand too this information for adding the sliding gallery.
Once you select gallery category, or slider category (its the same procedure), in swt theme options, then, open lets say first post thats under selected sliding category (for example first post under “Gallery” category if that one is selected), and add custom field under post. But, custom fields since wp 3.0 need to be enabled first in screen options in top right corner of dashboard. Once you enable it, custom fields will appear under posts. Then for type thumbnail and leave link to the image, like here:http://www.simplewpthemes.com/howtoslide.png
For slider you type slide and you leave link to the image, and for gallery, you type thumbnail.

I also love the theme, but is there a way to change the background and colors in header? Also, how can I get rid of the WoodyTheme text and add my logo? Is that considered the header banner? Thank you!
For the logo, check the readme or faq. Logo is logo, banner is on the right side. Colors and backgrounds you can change if you know css little bit.
